Tiller Pilots
Tiller Pilots are ideal for smaller Yachts with tiller steering and can be setup relatively easy in most installations. An alternative use for the tiller pilot is for use with yachts with “wind self steering” vanes that do not operate well in light air conditions. Many sailors have improvised a tiller pilot system to work in place of the wind vane in light conditions making a tiller pilot normally designed for yachts under the 36 foot a useful steering aid for larger sailing vessels that utilise wind self-steering equipment.
