Personal Locator Beacon or PLB as it is commonly referred to is simply a 406 EPIRB designed to carry on ones own person. For boating folk, a PLB maybe the difference between life and death to someone who falls overboard.
Rutherford Marine Electrical supply GME PLB’s who are regarded as world leaders in 406 EPIRB technology. We offer two options, one with a built in GPS and one without a GPS. The GPS option provides greater pinpoint accuracy of the beacons position (better than 100 metres typically) compared to less than 5 kms for the non GPS model.
